Below is a list of facility rules and guidelines. The guidelines are set out in cooperation with the City of Edmonton and Alberta Health Services. All rules must be adhered to at all times. Failure to comply with facility rules may result in you being asked to leave the facility. Thank you for your cooperation
- Lifeguard must be obeyed at all times.
- Everyone must take a cleaning shower before entering the pool or dry sauna. You must wet yourself from head to toe.
- Anyone with a communicable disease, a communicable infection, or open lesions are not permitted to use the facility, nor are those who have been so instructed by Alberta Health Services or a Physician.
- Anyone with diarrhea or a history of diarrhea in the past two (2) weeks should not use the facility.
- Young children, 35 months or under, and anyone who is incontinent must wear water resistant swimwear, or a recognized swim diaper that provides containment, in order to minimize the contamination of the facility. Please inform the lifeguard if your child soils their swimwear.
- No one shall spit, urinate, defecate in or otherwise pollute the pool water
- Anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs is not permitted to use the facility
- Children under 8 years of age must be accompanied in the water and actively supervised with arms reach by a responsible person 15 years of age, or older
- Time in the dry sauna is limited to 10 minutes. After this a cooling and cleansing shower is recommended. Body temperature of children under 2 years of age rises very quickly and should be closely monitored and removed to cool if necessary. Expecting mothers, anyone with heart disease, hypertension or diabetes, anyone prone to seizures or obesity, or anyone over 65 years of age should consult their physician prior to use.
- Anyone under 13 years of age who wishes to use the deep end must be able to swim continuously 25 meters on their front. They must show the lifeguard that they can complete this swim test prior to entering.
- Please do not wear street shoes on the pool deck. Clean footwear devoted only for deck use around the pool is allowed.
- Please walk on pool deck.
- Please do not bring glass bottles into the facility.
- Service animals are welcome in the facility; pets are not.
- Pool depths are 0.91 metres in the shallow end and 3.04 metres in the deep end. Diving is prohibited in the shallow water.
- For the general health and safety to the public, and as outlined in the Public Health Act, the maximum capacity of the pool is 150
- Please be considerate of other customers and refrain from activities that endanger yourself or others.
